A Spokane, Washington based manufacturer of mechanical / electro-mechanical actuated systems and components is looking for a new product design and development leadership type that can directly manage a staff of six and lead the development of a product portfolio roadmap, the development of products according to the roadmap and manufacturing / design support of existing products. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Accountable for the development, release and support of new products that directly contribute to business growth
  • Working in conjunction with Marketing and Sales, leads the refreshing of the entity's product development roadmap on a yearly basis. 
  • Implements product development methodologies and processes that lead to the successful implementation of the product development roadmap.
  • Implements sustaining engineering methodologies and processes that lead to the successful order fulfillment and support of released products.
  • Manages individual contributors and can manage through subordinate managers who exercise full supervision in terms of costs, methods and employees. 
  • Establishes operational objectives and assignments and delegates assignments to subordinate managers. 
BSME or EE coupled with a minimum of ten plus years of new product design/development and three to five years of direct management experience leading a team or group. 

Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, actuated, computer controlled, mechanical, electrical or electro-mechanical systems or components is a must, coupled with a proven track record of innovation will be key. 

Ability to travel 10% to 15% of the time to Asia & Europe is a must.
